For Jackson County Residents
This program relies SOLELY on donations from our generous community.
The amount of food for distribution varies from day to day.
This program is intended to supplement your monthly supply of pet food, not be the sole source of food for your pets.
You can get supplemental food for up to 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Only one application per household.
Here's how the program works:
- Sign up by filling out a short form. You will need to bring your driver's license or state ID to verify that you are a Jackson County resident. To establish your financial need, you will need to show your WIC card, Bridge Card, SSD Card, Medicaid Card, or other qualifying document.
- Cascades Humane Society will be able to give you supplemental pet food and litter, if available, the first time you sign up.
- Before you can get supplemental food a second time, you will need to provide written documentation from a veterinarian that your pets have been spayed or neutered.
- After you provide proof of spay or neuter, you are eligible to receive supplemental pet food and/or litter once every 30 days, for up to 6 months from the day you sign up.
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS TO CHS.
