Volunteer Picnic

Cascades Humane Society is pleased to recognize its hard-working volunteers. On Sunday September 10, the staff held their 2nd annual Volunteer Appreciation Picnic for them. About 75 volunteers enjoyed food and a live jazz band.

There were awards handed out for the youths with over 75 hrs and adults with over 150 hrs for the year. Many volunteers had gone above and beyond what was expected and received special awards. The biggest honor of the picnic was the volunteers of the year. The Youth Volunteer of the Year was Erin Overholser for donating 779 hours to the animals. The Adult Volunteer of the Year was Russ Roelofs, who gave 293 hours.
